International Clinical Trainer / Manager with Audiological background

Would you like to join a leading diagnostic solution provider in the hearing and balance field? Do you have a diverse audiological background combined with good presenting skills and understanding of learning technologies?


We are currently looking for a new member to join and manage our branch The Interacoustics Academy. At Interacoustics we are dedicated to providing training and access to materials related to audiological, vestibular and balance technologies and their applications.


We work diligently towards improving the assessment and diagnostic possibility for our customers. Our solutions are used worldwide every day, where audiologists, ENTs, researchers and clinical personnel combine their knowledge and our equipment to positively change the lives of patients.


Develop Training Material and Educational Technologies

You will spend around 40% of your time on the development of training material and educational technologies to support our dedicated audiological online learning environment. We are currently focusing on the development of e-learning, webinars as well as quick guide videos and other media.


You will support the development of internal staff through contributing to the online internal staff certification program. This includes both mentoring new employees and developing those already established in the workforce. Last but not least, you will take complex audiological concepts and use the most effective technologies to explain these in an easy to understand way.


Location of Position

It is preferred, but not a requirement to work out of the Interacoustics in Denmark, as you can also be based in a home office whilst reporting to Interacoustics’ global headquarters in Denmark.


International Travel

In the role it is expected that you will travel 100 days per year to provide face to face training and education to sales companies, distributors and potential end users of Interacoustics' products. This travel is not limited to a geographical region and is potentially truly global. These travel days will be focused around providing internal training to local Interacoustics staff, speaking at scientific conferences / master classes as well as developing relationships with key opinion leaders and audiological stakeholders. 


Managing the Interacoustics Academy

The Interacoustics Academy is currently less than a handful of UK based people, and the management of the Academy is thus primarily overseeing and driving projects and activities towards their goals, that are being set together with the other team members and your manager in Denmark. Many activities, including the marketing of the Interacoustics Academy in social media and elsewhere is handled by Interacoustics’ global marketing department, and cooperation across different departments of Interacoustics Denmark will be required. This requires frequent visits to Denmark.

You will be referring to Bue Kristensen, Vice President, External Affairs, Interacoustics Denmark.


Are you the person we are looking for?  

We are looking for a person who has:

  • a diverse audiological background (MSc or PhD in an audiology related subject)
  • at least 5 years of clinical experience
  • full range of auditory and balance assessments and rehabilitation experience
  • good presenting skills - speaking in front of large audiences is key for the role so any experience in this area or a willingness to embrace such situations is essential.
  • a sound and creative understanding of IT and learning technologies.


In addition, it is important that you

  • enjoy meeting new people and have an ability to build sound working relationships
  • are a social person who is dedicated to ensuring you are at forefront of developments in diagnostic audiology.  


It would be nice but not required that you have teaching experience and the ability to speak a second language (e.g. Spanish). Experience building online training and e-learning materials is also desirable.
