    With our approach to hearing healthcare and technology, and our complete product range, Demant, our customers and partners are fully equipped to help people with various kinds of hearing loss and communication needs connect with the world and live their lives to the fullest.

    Our unique position is a great advantage in a growing market. The hearing healthcare market represents a value     of around USD 24 billion per year, with Europe and North America being by far the largest markets. Global tracking of hearing loss, as done by for instance MarkeTrak, EuroTrak and JapanTrak, shows that around 1 in 10 people over the age of 50 is living with a hearing loss, and that more than 18 million hearing aids and 85,000 hearing implants are sold every year.

    The estimated value growth rates are 2-4% in the hearing aid market and 10-15% in the hearing implants market. This growth is largely driven by the underlying demographic development and, particularly for hearing implants, gradually increasing penetration rates. The estimated value growth rate in the diagnostics market is 3-5%.

    The Communications market represents a value of around USD 6 billion, and the estimated value growth rate is around 12%.
