Gaia Giovannelli

Education: M.Sc. Sales Management and International Management

Start in Demant: September 2024

Hi there, nice to meet you!

My name is Gaia, and I’m a 2024 graduate from the Commercial Excellence track. I come from a small town near Milan, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in economics and business administration from Bocconi University.

Eager to specialize in sales and explore the life in a new country, I moved to Copenhagen to pursue a double master’s degree in Sales Management at CBS and International Management through the CEMS program.

For me, my first full-time job was all about gaining a well-rounded exposure to business. I didn’t have a clear idea of where I could contribute the most, and I had quite a curiosity about different roles. That’s why the Graduate Program felt like the perfect choice for me.

Joining Demant came at a time when I wanted to work towards helping people while being engaged with constant technological innovations—let's just say I have a bit of a nerdy side! Working for a multinational company based in Denmark, a country and culture I adore, would give me valuable insights into the global hearing care business and help me grasp the nuances of sales across different markets. I’m particularly thrilled about the opportunity to embark on an entire rotation abroad, as it will enable me to gain invaluable hands-on experience in one of our markets.

Today, I’m excited to begin my first rotation in Sales Excellence, an amazing team that acts as in-house consultants for Demant. I am currently supporting the annual sales planning process by collaborating directly with sales managers and representatives across the various countries where we operate. So far, it has been a fascinating project that has provided me with valuable insights into the unique characteristics and complexities of different markets.

Outside of work, I like to stay active, especially if it means being outdoors. I love going to concerts and festivals and travelling with friends. Recently, I’ve taken on a new challenge: learning Danish! I’m not sure how far I’ll get, but you can bet I’ll be practicing my soft "d."

If you have any questions, I’d be happy to chat, so feel free to reach out!
