My name is Jacob, and I am a Tax Graduate in Demant.
I finished my Master’s degree in Business Administration and Commercial Law from Copenhagen Business School in 2024, where during my Master’s I specialized in corporate law and corporate tax law.
During my studies I worked as a student assistant at the Danish Ministry of Taxation where I got an insight into the legislative process. Although interesting, I wished to work in a position where I was better able to utilize my education in a more practical and business-oriented context, which I am able to at Demant. I’ve not only had the opportunity to assist in legal analyses for the purpose of understanding the tax consequences of certain business plans, but I also get to work with financial data, primarily for accounting purposes.
A great appeal of the Graduate program was the opportunity to rotate to different departments, getting a better understanding of the business as a whole, as well as starting your work life with a group of people in the same position as yourself. Due to starting as a graduate you have a social network right from the start which is not just limited to the department you start out in, and the former graduates makes an effort to help you and be available during the start of the program.
