Hi, my name is Konstantina and I’m the 2023 Intellectual Properties (IP) Graduate. I am originally from Athens, Greece and came to Denmark to do a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering at DTU. Shortly after, I started working in Demant as a student assistant. Regarding my studies, I graduated with an integrated master’s in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Patras in Greece. Following this, I competed my Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). Further, I conducted my master thesis in collaboration with Oticon and the Eriksholm Research Center, part of Oticon. The most significant asset is that my design will probably go into one of our future products.
During my prior studies, my two published papers, my Master and my Master’s thesis, I developed a strong passion towards new methods and products aimed at curing patients and saving lives. Therefore, the orientation of Demant’s Graduate Programme was directly complementary with my own primary goal to engage myself in high level healthcare services and medical research to gain the knowledge and skills required to develop the medical technology of the future. Motivated by this and my passion in the hearing healthcare sector, medical devices, biomedical product development and health care product management, I decided to apply for the Graduate Programme. My first rotation is in the department of Intellectual Properties (IP) working for different projects in the field of patents in hearing aids.
With this position, I will have the valuable opportunity to put my theoretical knowledge into practice and gain medical industry experience by entering the company at the most exciting period, that you are launching new products and technologies in an agile and innovative established working environment of highly dedicated engineers and colleagues.
