Martin Friedrichsen
Hi, my name is Martin, and I am one of the Finance Graduates of the 2023 batch. I am originally from the southern part of Jutland but have been living in Copenhagen since starting my bachelor's degree. I hold a BSc. International Shipping and Trade as well as an MSc. Applied Economics and Finance, both from Copenhagen Business School.
So why the Demant Graduate Programme? Firstly, I knew that my interest lay somewhere within finance, but I was (and honestly still am) unsure about exactly where. That is why Demant's Finance Graduate Programme really sparked my interest with its four-department rotation scheme. On top of that, I have the opportunity to have a rotation abroad. In my first and current rotation, I have joined the department of Group Financial Controlling. The cool thing about this Graduate Programme is that I actually have some influence over where my next rotation will be, and I get to learn and gain experience from many different departments.
Secondly, I was drawn to Demant because of how they contribute positively to society as a hearing healthcare company. Demant helps people hear better, ultimately improving people’s lives. And now, being a part of this is just so rewarding.
Lastly, based on both anecdotes from friends and my own experiences from various career fairs, I saw how the graduate community and Demant's unique culture really was/is something special. It is a supportive network where collaboration thrives, and I knew I wanted to be a part of it and contribute to it.
