Hello, my name is Sara and I am the 2025 Engineering Graduate at Demant.
I am originally from Madrid, Spain, where I completed my Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering. I later moved to Denmark to pursue my Master's degree at DTU, continuing my focus on biomedical engineering. My academic background is mainly centered around medical imaging, signal processing, and machine learning, but I’ve always been fascinated by hardware and the integration between software and hardware systems.
My journey has taken me beyond Spain, I spent a year living in Hong Kong, which was an incredible experience that broadened my perspective and deepened my appreciation for working in diverse, international environments. When I moved to Denmark, I discovered the hearing aid industry and was immediately captivated by the blend of advanced technology and meaningful impact on people’s lives.
I was drawn to the Demant Graduate Program because of its unique structure, offering the chance to rotate through different teams, take on a variety of projects, and build a global network from the very beginning. I am especially excited about the strong focus on both personal and professional development, and the opportunity to learn alongside other talented graduates.
For my first rotation, I am joining the Device Hardware department, where I will be working on applying AI to support mechanical designers. This role is a perfect fit for my interests, as it allows me to bridge the gap between data-driven approaches and hands-on engineering, and to contribute to innovative solutions that improve hearing aid technology.
Outside of work, I love exploring new places, trying different cuisines, and spending time with friends. I am always up for a conversation about technology, travel, or the latest trends in machine learning!
