Hi, my name is Tobias, and I joined Demant as a Commercial Excellence graduate in the 2021 batch. I hold a BSc. degree in Business Administration from Freie Universität Berlin, during which I also spent a semester abroad in Lisbon. In 2019, I decided to move to Copenhagen to pursue a Master’s degree in International Business at Copenhagen Business School.

I am very happy to be part of an innovative company like Demant that positively changes the lives of millions of people around the globe, which was very important for me before applying. (Trust me, you should watch a video of a baby that is able to hear for the first time! :-)). In Commercial Excellence, we are a young and dynamic team that acts as an in-house consultancy within the International Sales Division. Our projects generally aim at raising the capabilities of the commercial functions at Demant, both locally and globally. That means, we work hands-on on real-life problems and opportunities in markets, using both quantitative and qualitative tools such as fact-based insights, process development, or dedicated training.

I appreciate that working at Demant offers a great learning environment and the possibility to interact with a diverse and international network of people on a daily basis. In Commercial Excellence, we closely collaborate with the local teams of a country, which also involves traveling outside my rotation abroad, making my workdays super dynamic and exciting. In my first rotation, I was part of a project with the US team, where I support my team in workshops, the communication with different stakeholders, or by running my own analyses that as part of a bigger picture are the basis for new courses of action and initiatives. I really value the close collaboration in our team, how warm I was welcomed, and the typical ‘Danish’ work culture at Demant that puts the individual first and acknowledges life outside of work.

Privately, after having lived a few years in Berlin, I am quite passionate about music, but I also enjoy working out and different kinds of sports, from football to padel, or simply having a beer with my friends.
