Bassel Rifai joined Demant in June 2026 as President of the Hearing Aids business area and a member of Demant’s Executive Leadership Team.
Bassel brings extensive medtech leadership experience from Johnson & Johnson and Ambu, where he most recently served as EVP and President of EMEA & APAC. He also previously worked at McKinsey & Company.
As President of Hearing Aids, Bassel has end-to-end responsibility for the business area, including R&D, Operations, Marketing and Sales.
Bassel holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
