As a responsible company, we want to take care of each other as well as our business, and therefore we contribute to minimising the further spreading. We do this to support governments’ recommendations and efforts. We monitor and evaluate the situation constantly to be able to operate the business in the best possible way. This means that we have setup rules for behavior for employees and for people in contact with Demant. The rules follow the guidance of authorities, even sometimes involving stricter precautions.

The rules are subject to change in order to reflect the current and local situation at any given time.

  • We have intensified cleaning, disinfection and extra hygiene alertness
  • We have applied strict limitation on visitor access.
  • We are currently not having larger seminars and customer events and do promote virtual meetings as the primary collaborative tool.
  • Employees with critical on site and customer-facing tasks are working on sites and in shops following authorities’ guidance and with high safety, health and hygienic alertness. Approximately half of the of the employees are allowed to be present at our headquarters at once, while others work from home.
  • We have cancelled all cross-border travelling; and we give the same advice for private travels.
  • In countries, travel between Demant sites has been limited to a business continuity minimum.
  • We respect when other people do not want to see us

Safety and health for our customers and employees are of highest priority for us. We monitor and evaluate the situation constantly to be able to operate the business in the best possible way. This means that we have set up instructions for employees and for people in contact with Demant. The instructions follow the guidance of authorities, even sometimes involving stricter precautions.

We follow the guidelines from the Danish Health authorities and local authorities in order to contribute to minimising the spread of coronavirus. This includes sending employees home in quarantine on any sign of sickness or if they have been even remotely exposed to infected individuals or been in high risk areas. All employees, for whom it is possible, have been asked to work from home, in order to lower the amount of physical contact points within the company to an absolute minimum.

We are still running our operation at normal pace and are able to service our customers.

To minimise the potential risk of transferring the virus we have implemented the following in our production and wholesale:

All production and packaging stations follow these rules:

  • All necessary equipment is cleaned before and after use according to the guidance from the health authorities
  • Before starting work, before a break and at the end of working day hands are washed carefully with soap and water or disinfected with a suitable alcohol disinfectant.

  • This way we have taken the necessary precautions to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.
